The native component will now be compiled with the libc 2.12, so the wrapper is no longer needed.

At the same time cleaned up, and better documented parts of the CMakeLists

* Added Windows support
  The 0.12.x version now supports Windows.
  The Windows version is currently mastered on the branch `windows`, which will be merged at a later date.
