This is the Node.js + Express app that powers http://www.emergencypuppy.party/.
Install Node.js 0.8.x from http://nodejs.org/.
Install the Heroku Toolbelt from https://toolbelt.heroku.com/.
Clone this git repo (fork it first if you plan to make changes).
$ git clone git://github.com/b-turchyn/emergencypuppy.git
Install dependencies using npm.
$ cd emergencypuppy && npm install
Start the local emergencykitten server.
$ foreman start
Browse to http://localhost:5000/ and you should see Emergency Kitten!
Want to add a feature or fix a bug? If it's something small, just send a pull request. If it's something big, please get in touch and ask if I'm interested before working on it.
I'm pretty picky about code quality and simplicity, so don't be alarmed if I ask you to change things or just say I'm not interested. If you're offended, maybe a puppy will help cheer you up?
