Texts such as "I have worked for x years in web dev" are quickly outdated within a year. This plugin keeps these types of time-span references up to date with a simple shortcode.

== Description ==
Texts such as "I have worked for x years in web dev" are quickly outdated within a year. This plugin keeps these types of time-span references up to date with a simple shortcode.

== Gutenberg Support ==
This plugin requires the Classic Editor due to the fact that it works by your placing a shortcode into a body of text. Gutenberg does not support this method of using shortcodes.

== Usage ==
For example, on an "About" page text, you might have something like:

> We've worked remotely for [years-since y=2012], which has allowed the team to spend more time traveling and spending time with family.

Or, if you wanted to update a time span on a particular anniversary, you could do something like:

> I'm [years-since y=1990 m=5 d=16] old.

== Installation ==
* Navigate to your plugins admin page.
* Search for "years since" and download the plugin.
* Install using the plugin admin interface.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==
**Does it work with Gutenberg?**
Gutenberg does not support placing shortcodes into a body of text (that I'm aware of,) so you will need to use the Classic Editor to edit any posts or pages in which you have used one of the shortcodes.

**Does it work with ClassicPress?**
Yes.
