select object then the "split" menu is disabled.
with previous version and same svg, was possible to split colored parts in different objects

I'm seeing this also. This feature is important for many multicolor workflows. It needs to be prioritized soon.

I had to revert my 1.10 upgrade because of this.

I also have this issue and it is a huge pain point that is negatively impacting my work. I make custom 3D printed signs that I design first as an SVG and import into Bambu Studio and most of those designs have multiple layers that need to be manipulated in the slicer. I know many other people who also do this and I would guess that most people who import SVGs are importing multi-color/layered files rather than simple silhouettes.

With this latest change that is no longer possible so I have to manually export all the layers as separate pieces and import them separately. After importing they are not correctly aligned so I have then spend several more minutes carefully positioning the pieces until they are in the correct location relative to all the other pieces. The more layers there are, the more painful this process becomes because each layer has to be manually positioned.

What used to take me 3-5 minutes now takes 10-15. Which adds up when doing 5-10 at a time (up to over an hour of extra work in some cases).

This is a critical issue for myself and probably for a lot of other people who work with SVGs. The suggestion of using 2 different versions of the software and switching between then is not really viable long-term. I often keep multiple versions or variations of a design in a shared 3mf file so going back and forth between software versions is likely to eventually cause compatibility issues. This method would also still add time and extra work to a workflow that should be (and has been) pretty simple.

Please do more than consider fixing this issue because I, too, will need to revert to an older version of the software until this is fixed. I am not going to do the suggested workaround and risk corrupting my important files.

Hi, I’m in the same boat as DanRegazzi. Please fix this! I had to revert back to the old version of the slicer. I do appreciate that version 1.10 allows me to import SVGs with curved (not stair-stepped) edges. But until this SVG issue is fixed then I’m stuck using 1.09.

Having same issue. Being a non techy person, switching versions is not an option. Will be downgrading until I hear issue is fixed thanks,

If I import with the old version first then I get curves that are stair-stepped/aliased/non-smooth.

This is definitely NOT an acceptable long term solution. This change made in this release effectively BROKE substantial prior functionality as it pertains to SVG files, and should be immediately REVERTED until it can be done correctly. The totality of the issue is very well shown here.
