A dead-simple blog engine based on Rails originally developed by Rick Olson and Justin Palmer with contributions from a bunch of wicked cool people. Later on maintained for some time by Eric Kidd. Forked & revived by Sebastian Gräßl
Clone the repository
git clone email@example.com:bastilian/mephisto.git
Initialize and update git-submodules, run Bundler in your working copy
cd mephisto && git submodule init && git submodule update && bundle
Copy the database configuration and adjust it to your liking
cp config/database.example.yml config/database.yml
Create a database. For example in Mysql:
mysql -e 'create database mephisto_development'
Note: adjust database.yml if you use another db
Generate the session key & secret
bundle exec rake config/initializers/session_store.rb
Bootstrap the database
bundle exec rake db:bootstrap
Start the server and go to http://localhost:8080/admin, login with admin / testpassword and enjoy!
bundle exec unicorn
