You mentioned that you have it installed on your mac, and that it then works
through ATV2, should it also work if installed on a pc? Do I then put in the
proxy address of that pc on the local network? ( I tried that and it tried
streaming, but then failed)
Does it work for you because both your pc and atv2 are apple?
And it doesnt work for me, because one is PC and the other is ATV2?

Thanks

It works with a PC.

As I have said before, I don't have the time to help people with proxy settings.

Basically, you need TCP connectivity from the XBMC machine to port 4500 of the
proxy machine. I can't teach you how to test and diagnose that here but here's
the first thing I would try:

Try disabling Windows firewall, that might be your problem as it blocks all
incoming traffic by default. If this solves your problem, don't leave the
firewall disabled as it's not a great idea. Try configuring it to allow
incoming TCP traffic on port 4500.

Good luck!

Hi Guys

Just one thing to be said here, that the new glarab_http_proxy-1.6.0.10628.exe
just works in the machine where it’s installed.
If you try to connect to the proxy from another machine it’s not going to
work, I spent more than two hours with many machines and different operating
systems. (for sure I did open port 4500 for TCP connection in the fire wall)
but never worked.
The only solution worked for me is to install the old version of Glarab proxy
(glarab_http_proxy-1.4.0.5571.exe ) (quick Google search will find it for you)
When the old version installed then everything become like breeze I can access
the proxy from any machine or android device I want.
Hope this help someone facing the same problem I had.
