Can you please define the ruby version and http library for which it fails for?
It passes on travis so something has to be different in your environment.

1.9.3 and ruby 1.9.3p327 (2012-11-10 revision 37606) [x86_64-darwin11.4.2]
2.0.0 preview-2 ruby 2.0.0dev (2012-12-01 trunk 38126) [x86_64-darwin11.4.2]
are in my environment, but if webmock work fine on 1.9.3, then something wrong in my environment.
thanks!
