High-Level Requirements
Procurement Digital Tools · Procurement service design framework, providing consistent experiences for citizens, vendors and government staff; · Increase automation to enable staff to focus on complex service interactions.
Data Management · Create one-stop access points to government services; · Automate and digitize paper-based processes to reduce paper-based operations and associated costs; · Leverage systems and operations across programs to reduce duplication.
Operational Enhancement · Reduce manual overhead experienced by process redundancies; · Increase flexibility and support for multiple procurement models; · Increased self-service functionality for government and vendors.
Project and Time Tracking · Identify operational requirements for continuity of the existing Procurement and Supply Division services; · Development of a Digital Marketplace API Gateway to centralize data capture across the entire BC Developers’ Exchange portfolio of products; · Procure transformational capabilities and support for future change.
Business Analytics and Intelligence · Increased flexibility and responsiveness of senior leadership; · Increased transparency and clarity of business operations; · Improved project management and estimation processes.
The intent of this procurement is to develop a micro-services platform in which you will work with a Product Owner with the BC Developers' Exchange, along with Procurement Services Branch to implement the needs and strategic vision of the Digital Marketplace including:
An Intake Service to triage and track incoming procurement requests, along with business needs and challenges; Fragmenting the BC Developers' Exchange programs Sprint With Us and Code With Us into the microservices components; Technical enhancement of the BC Developers' Exchange Sprint With Us and Code With Us; The implementation of Key Roadmap deliverables to reduce bottlenecks and improve user experience and service delivery.
