Javascript library documentation and code is incomplete and inaccurate. jQuery should be a driver library of the Javascript class. Examples from user guide do not work.

Sent pull request to update javascript to a parent driver, and modify jquery library to become child driver.

The Javascript library is deprecated? Then shouldn't this issue be closed as it will go nowhere?
Why is it still open?

I have no objection. I have moved on because of what I perceive to be a hostile environment. CodeIgniter's competition has no problems embracing the technology.

I feel that the Javascript support in CodeIgniter is broken, and needs to be restarted, but I think that is a longer term proposition than can be incorporated into CI3. The suggestion to turn it into a driver, with potential support for other frameworks, makes sense.

I am interested in hearing why you perceive a hostile environment ... jim_parry at bcit.ca

Not from lack of trying from two different programmers. But that's water under the bridge, I've moved on.

Looking through the history for #17 and for #2001 will give you a good idea. I don't wish to belabor the point as I've moved on to IMHO framework.
