Setting up an own befdata instance

We are using Apache and Passenger for deployment. This means, you first have to Set up Apache and Passenger, and then you can proceed to Set up your BEFdata platform. To change the look and feel of your BEFdata instance, you will want to change some of the profile files: Configuring your own BEFdata instance.

With a BEFdata instance running, you will once in a while want to update the code to the latest stable version and backup your data.

If your productions site runs into problems, here are some tips how to monitor the production server.

For a deeper understanding of the functionality, you can generate your own description of the rails objects by running rake doc:app and move the folder into the public folder.
