Make the thumbs-up counter also be a like button, or make it not look like a button #112
Comments
I agree, but all simple solutions have their own issues. Making this badge clickable would be great, but then it has to be shown even if there are no likes, which means more visual clutter. Removing green background would be great for lowering its contrast (likes and comments badges are dominating all quest lists in a bad way, and the fact that they're not aligned is not helping too). But I didn't figure out how to make it look good without a background yet. Also, grouping all action buttons on the quest page in the left side is, at least, consistent. You may remember that both "watch" and "like" buttons on quest page were inside the colored quest block previously, and it was crowded (there are tags, likes counter, watches counter, timestamp, open/completed status, all on the same row...) So... I understand it's an issue, but it's harder than it looks. Or maybe (probably) I suck at UI design :) PS: I added one improvement, though. Thumbs-up icon is now filled if you already liked quest or comment. PPS: I looked at how Facebook does it. They have the separate "like" link, but their thumbs-up button is clickable too. Maybe they're right. |
You know, I changed my mind :) |
Cool =) |
I can't tell you how many times I've clicked:
It looks like a button, and now like has moved elsewhere, so I keep reached for this, clicking it, then saying "doh", and then finding the Like button.
