currently in chrome canary as window.performance.webkitNow()

It's a floating point millisecond measurement since the page was created.

spec here: http://www.w3.org/TR/hr-time/ (out of date)

IE10 will probably have it as well.

looks good to me. the spec will head to CR really fast (the webperf WG is fast!) so the prefixes should drop soon but...

this is good for now. Msft edited the spec so we'll be seeing perf.msNow() in an IE10 build soon, i bet.
