Important

This project uses submodules as such you must use the --recursive flag when cloning the project like this:

git clone --recursive git@github.com:bguest/RSColorPicker.git

If this doesn't work it's probably due to the fact that you are using an older version of git, update git and try again.

NOTES

  • Currently sliding the brightness slider works pretty slow on actual hardware, watch for future commits to speed things up.
  • This project has been converted to ARC (Automatic Reference Counting), to use with projects that have not yet converted to ARC, there is a Pre-ARC branch.

Class Files:

RSColorPickerView

Square (circle) color-picker that handles touch events and allows for brightness control. Uses delegation to report color selection as-changed

RSBrightnessSlider

Basic UISlider subclass that can be used easily with RSColorPickerView.

Project:

Inspired by ANColorPicker. Uses formulas from EasyRGB (HSV conversions). Also uses ANImageBitmapRep for easy pixel-level manipulation.

And of course, thanks to Wikipedia.

Usage:

See included example project (application delegate).

Requirements:

  • QuartzCore.framework
  • CoreGraphics.framework
  • UIKit.framework
  • Foundation.framework
  • ANImageBitmapRep (Included)
