Until recently when you, Teus, helped me with installing Bibledit, I had forgotten that Bibledit can now be found in some repositories with no adding of a PPA. I suggest that this information should be put right at the top of the Install instructions for Linux at

Instead of two pages, there should be just one page:

  1. Bibledit can now be installed through the regular Discover/Program Manager in Debian/Ubuntu distros that use the Bionic or 18.04 long term support repository. Also Bibledit can be installed on those distros from the terminal by typing:
    sudo apt-get install bibledit

  2. For older Debian/Ubuntu derivatives, add the repository via the terminal ...
    [same information as on the current sub-page]

Under this second way, it would be helpful to add: There are a number of Debian/Ubuntu derivatives that will not allow you to add a PPA address through the terminal commands above. For at least some of those, you can install and use the Synaptic Package Manager. Then use the Settings > Repositories menu to add the following information:
Hit the New button.
Choose deb from the pull down menu.
Add this address:
Then use Synaptic to find and install Bibledit.

  1. For all other distros, download the sh installer script and ...

Yeah, that's a good idea, to update this information, it is going to help other getting the software in the easiest way possible.
