llm-prompts-for-education

I am Bill Price, an applied linguist and educational technologist at the University of Pittsburgh. This is a space for me to "work in public" on topics related to Generative AI.

This site began as a repository of LLM prompts and similar materials I have developed for use in curricula I have taught, but has expanded somewhat to include presentations and other projects.

New project announcement: “Authorship and AI” OER

In May 2026, I was fortunate to be selected as a winner of the Nancy Tannery Grant for Open Educational Resources. I am building my OER, Authorship and AI, in public at https://billcprice3.github.io/authorship-and-ai/. It is licensed under the CC BY 4.0 Creative Commons license.

Presentations

2025

2024

  • 2024-04-12: Three Concepts for Generative AI in Language Education. Panel presentation, Technology in Language Teaching Forum.

  • 2024-03-28: Let's Demystify AI and Take Initiative. Workshop, English Language Institute Curriculum Meeting. This one is admittedly a bit of a gimmick: in the early days of public access to GenAI tools, I used the latest LLMs, diffusion models, and speech synthesis tools to make a "synthetic presentation" as the centerpiece of this workshop. That gimmick served a purpose in early 2024, but I wouldn't repeat it now!
