As far as I know, there is no project that completely fulfils our gold standard. I think it will be nice to port the sequence component to Biojs 2.0 making sure that it fulfils the gold standard so it can be used as an example as it was used in Biojs 1.0.

@ljgarcia is UniProt planing to port the sequence component?

Yep.

At the moment my MSA component fulfills some of our goals expect for the documentation framework, but it is written in CoffeeScript.

We will adopt the sequence component. During the BioHackathon I will familiarize better with BioJS2 way so Sequence migration might start in November.Sorry it cannot be earlier. How does it fit in our plans?

@ljgarcia Great to hear that you want to improve the sequence component. Actually the sequence doesn't depend on biojs-legacy anymore and I also added the default snippet in the registry :)

However before we advertise the sequence component as gold standard/example project, I think that cleaning up the source wouldn't hurt. As an example at the moment it uses a legacy jquery plugin (jquery-browser) for an unnecessary reason.
