Hey there! I've just created a wallet that works entirely through email, Email Tip Bot.

It's the easiest way for people to get started transacting bitcoin because it uses a secured account they already have (nothing to install or configure), and is the only bitcoin transacting method that works natively on the iPhone.

Could I submit a pull request to add it to _templates/choose-your-wallet.html?

ROFL, new award for most insecure wallet ever I think?

"secured account they already have" - except email is NEVER secure.

Email spoofing is prevented by sending a confirmation email with every transaction, a la Square Cash. Access to email is generally secure.

Granted, this shouldn't be used for storing a large amount of bitcoins (as anyone with access to read your email could complete a transaction), but it's the only method I currently know of sending bitcoins natively from the iPhone, and will likely remain that way as long as Apple has their bitcoin ban.

Surely there is a way to use webwallets?

@christiangenco Thanks for taking time to politely ask for inclusion. Web wallets is a controversial category of wallet as it has proven to be risky in the past. Guidelines for wallets inclusion need to be discussed and made clearer. Meanwhile, I've tried to be careful to only accept services with a minimum track record, investment, accountability and good security practices. For this reason, I don't think I can accept your request at least for now.

@saivann Sounds completely reasonable.

Is there anything I can be doing, or a particular security or accountability standard I can uphold and be tested to, that would increase my chance of meeting the future guidelines?

@luke-jr Nothing else on iOS will currently let you scan a QR code to initiate a bitcoin transaction. You could certainly type in a sending address in a web wallet, but that's super frustrating and error prone.

@christiangenco I don't want to give you a false impression that your service will be listed. It is even not sure that web wallets will continue to be listed on bitcoin.org . Right now, only businesses of a reasonable size and track record are listed, and even BIPS was removed recently when they got hacked. I can hardly say what requirements will be in a near future.

Got it. Thanks for the response, regardless!

@christiangenco Thanks for setting aside the time to reach out about including your wallet.
