What about this? Bitcoin Core is a separate project from bitcoin.org. This directory (section?) of bitcoin.org has been donated to the Bitcoin Core project to be used as a communication platform. Views expressed on the rest of the website are not necessarily the views of the Bitcoin Core project or its developers. |

We have complete control over the theme used on the Bitcoin Core pages, including the footer used on all Bitcoin Core pages. If ya'll don't mind waiting a few hours for my work day to end, I'll make some mock ups of pithy footer disclaimers and other alternatives then. (I have some other ideas I want to mull over too before mentioning them.) |

@harding really? Is the goal here to drag things deeper into the mud? |

There is some confusion in the community that Bitcoin Core and bitcoin.org are the same project
and thus share the same policy and views. This disclaimer is to make it clear that Bitcoin Core is
a separate project and just occupy /bitcoin-core on the website for the main purpose of hosting
downloads.
