I am not sure that I like the result. In my opinion, the introduction should stay short and clean. I wouldn't be against adding "Bitcoin" in the index. But not really at the top. Also just in order to keep it concise, I think we can say this without examples.

I think this is an important distinction for people who are new to Bitcoin need to understand and it quickly and easily helps them learn it correctly. Additionally, the example is very clear and concise but the punctuation could be cleaned up:

with capitalization, a proper noun, is used when describing the Bitcoin protocol, software or network.

Could you add "Bitcoin" at the same level than all other words that are defined in that page? It can very well fit in the table of content like all others and would produce a consistent result without interfering with the short introductive text.
