The Carolinas first-ever Bitcoin Expo will be kicked off in Raleigh on August 15 and 16, 2014. Cryptolina will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center. It will serve as a gateway to hundreds of new interested businesses, investors, and enthusiasts. Cryptolina follows successful Bitcoin conferences held in cities throughout the world, including Miami, Hong Kong, Washington, San Francisco, New York City, and Amsterdam.

More than 500 new faces of the emerging Bitcoin community are expected to attend, network and discuss this emerging industry behind the digital currency. Cryptolina’s announcement comes on the heels of several positive Bitcoin evaluations including acknowledgement by the Federal Reserve that “Bitcoin does not present a threat to economic activity by disrupting traditional channels of commerce; rather, it could serve as a boon."

Cryptolina is being held in Downtown Raleigh in order to capitalize on the flourishing startup scene and exponential growth. Frequently cited as a "New Silicon Valley" of the East Coast, the Research Triangle region is a natural fit due to the high-tech jobs and leading companies.

Current issues and events pertaining to Bitcoin technologies, startups, venture capital investment and angel investment will be discussed during multiple panels. In addition to a Bitcoin based business exhibition, there are plans to host nearly two dozen speakers.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Second Annual Cryptolina Bitcoin Expo will be coming to Uptown Charlotte on August 14-15, 2015. The planned two-day event is a sequel to last summer's inaugural expo in Raleigh that attracted over 350 digital currency developers, investors and technologists from across the United States and World. Among them, former United States Mint Director Edmund C. Moy and Silicon Valley venture capitalist Adam Draper.

"This will be an all-inclusive expo that provides our attendees with multiple educational opportunities, along with fellowship and networking," said Faruk Okcetin, an event co-founder. "The job market in the digital currency industry also continues to expand, so we anticipate a large number of job seekers as well."

Nearly $700m in venture capital has poured into Bitcoin exchanges and businesses to date. The first quarter of 2015 alone saw a record-breaking $229m in venture capital invested in bitcoin startups. This growth has prompted the United States and other nations around the world to consider regulatory proposals in an attempt to both define the industry and the businesses growing within the emerging digital currency ecosystem.

"With all-time bitcoin startup VC investment reaching $676m, there is no question the digital currency industry is growing," said co-organizer Dan Spuller. "Within the last year, we've seen Microsoft, Expedia, Dell, Dish Network, and hundreds of other companies announce that they are integrating Bitcoin." "As the mobile payment industry continues to mature, there is no question that Bitcoin will emerge as a secure option."

Current issues and events pertaining to Bitcoin technology, startups, venture capital investment and much more will be discussed and debated. Registration is open, and for additional information on the venue announcement, ticket pricing, student pricing, sponsorships and demo opportunities please visit: http://cryptolina.com/
