@davidsilvasmith when I try to visit the site, both Chromium and FF tell me the certificate is invalid: "You attempted to reach www.sowhatsbitcoin.com, but instead you actually reached a server identifying itself as www.github.com."

Can you fix this issue and let us know when it's been fixed? Thanks!

Oops, rookie mistake! I had https instead of http. Sorry about that and fixed.

Numerous problems with this website:

  • "Sponsored by" apparent get-rich-quick schemes
  • Promotes third-party/hosted APIs and troll haven BitcoinTalk to developers
  • Promotes hosted wallets to users
  • Promotes storing wealth in Bitcoin
  • Seems to confuse bitcoin addresses with accounts in the FAQ
  • Site breaks when access over HTTPS rather than refusing the connection (or working)

On the bright side, at least the FAQ disspells the "bitcoin is anonymous" myth. Maybe the author can fix the above issues too (although sponsorship may be a hard one...)

Thanks for the quick feedback. Seems the site's goals don't align as well with bitcoin.org as I'd thought.
