This video is basically a remake of the WUC video with nice examples in which Bitcoin can be useful, although it makes the claims that "privacy is never compromised". This being said, @millybitcoin spends a good chunk of time denigrating bitcoin.org with broad accusations and every time she comes here asking for visibility for her own website ends up pretty bad, so not really sure it's worth the trouble.

@saivann - This is a community driven resource and you are angry because I pointed out that you have generated a large number of complaints by seizing centralized control of the site and cutting off discussions. The problem is that you have posted a false claim that it is a community driven site.

You have taken the privacy quote out of context because it involved giving your personal information to merchants to verify a credit card payment.

The accusations are that you have hijacked the web site and won't allow the community to participate. That is exactly what you are doing here. As for "worth the trouble" it took more trouble to write your hyperbolic comment.

I reviewed the other video posted at bitcoin.org by "funk-e." The video has wrong information as it does not mention mining as a way of getting bitcoins (it does not even mention mining) and it said the number of Bitcoins is fixed when, in fact, new bitcoins get released with every block. This video is not be treated with the same standard as saivann is trying to apply for my video.

I believe rejecting this video while allowing the other will be pretty good proof that the people with centralized control of the web site are not allowing the community to develop it. It is, and has been, a tool to reward friends and punish enemies.

I will also point out I have only raised 2 issues for bitcoin.org. The one was to link the press center rather than choosing individual reps. This was eventually accepted. The other suggestion was to coordinate the Wiki with the developers guide to avoid posting conflicting or out-of-date information. The disagreement is that a small number of people control the web site content while they claim it is "community" developed. I believe participation should be allowed or the site should say it is controlled by a small group and not the community at large. Denying this pull request is about punishment and control, not about posting content for new users.

Mining is not really a way of getting bitcoins. The number of bitcoins is fixed, even if not all are in circulation yet. Even if these were/are errors, they are not such that they would be perceived as false advertising.

Stating that Bitcoin protects your privacy, today, is likely to be seen as false advertising. I suggest if you want to make that claim, you coordinate with the DarkWallet folks who seem to have privacy as a serious focus. Then when their software is usable, you can say "If you use DarkWallet, your privacy is ensured" or something.

luke-jr - Mining is obviously a way of getting Bitcoins and many people want to try it so leaving that out of an explanation is an error. This is evidenced by the many who tried to get mining equipment from a place you promoted.

I advertised that when you pay with Bitcoin personal information is protected because the merchant does not need to collect information to verify payment. You are just trying to leverage the false claim made by Saivann as a way of retaliating because you don't agree with my opinions. You have left the claim vague because you know it is wrong.

As for false advertising you should probably check with your attorney concerning the issues involving false advertising and conspiring with entities that have done that. I can give you a contact over at the FTC if you need more info on that.

Numerous people have seen this video and the only 2 objections are people who are angry at me over my opinions in another issue. Your comments have no merit.

@millybitcoin Since apparently all you know how to do is troll and lie, I'm going to suggest @saivann just ban you from bitcoin.org issues.

@millybitcoin I actually gave an overally positive comment about your video, but not your attitude. Putting aside that you're telling people what they should do, disregarding other people's opinions, spreading unverified claims and personal attack, just assuming we're somehow "forced" to add your video for some reason and nobody thought the video was important enough to comment in 6 days is enough for me to close that pull request.

Maybe it should also be made obvious that there's a difference between contributing and getting backlinks for free. Funke ended up here simply because various people other than their creators considered it good.

I think we've been spammed enough by this so I'm locking this pull request and will be closing it if there's no other activity in the next 7 days (I guess that makes me evil). If you want to add any relevant comment with the topic, please email me at saivann@gmail.com .
