We are excited to announce the first official release of Bitrae Core, the foundational software for the Bitrae cryptocurrency. This version, v0.1.0, marks the beginning of the Bitrae blockchain and includes all the core functionalities needed to interact with the Bitrae network.

Key Features:

  • Blockchain Initialization: Establishes the genesis block and network parameters for the Bitrae blockchain.
  • Wallet Support: Create, manage, and secure Bitrae wallets with private keys and seed phrases.
  • Transaction Capabilities: Send and receive Bitrae transactions on the network with full support for confirmations and mempool management.
  • Consensus Mechanism: Implements the consensus algorithm (e.g., Proof of Work) designed for Bitrae to ensure network security and integrity.
  • Node Communication: Network nodes can now communicate with each other, enabling block propagation and transaction verification.
  • RPC API: Provides an initial set of RPC commands for interacting with the Bitrae blockchain programmatically.

Known Issues:

  • Performance Optimizations: Future releases will focus on improving the performance and scalability of the network.
  • UI/UX Enhancements: The current wallet interface is functional but will receive significant improvements in upcoming versions.

How to Get Started:

  1. Download: Get the release binaries from the assets below for your operating system.
  2. Install: Follow the installation instructions in the README.md file.
  3. Join the Network: Start your node and connect to the Bitrae network to begin participating in the ecosystem.
