Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create group layer
  2. Move the group layer offset away from the origin
  3. Create object layer in group layer
  4. Create some kind of object in the object layer at 0, 0

Select the object in the object tab, and it will move the view in the main window to 0,0, ignoring the offsets in the heirarchy.
