Automapping rules are not applied when using terrain tool #1913

See example files here. My goal is to paint the top part of the cliffs using the terrain tool and have the wall and bottom/foot of the cliff filled in by automapping.

When manually painting the tiles using the stamp tool, the automapping works exactly as intended (left side in GIF above). However when I try to draw the top part of the cliffs using the terrain tool, the automapping rules do not seem to be applied (e.g. the side and cliff are not drawn; right side in the GIF).

This inexplicable problem is a regression in Tiled 1.1 and is caused by 01944e9. This new "checked" flag ended up being taken into the cell comparison, and it also affects other tools like the bucket fill, magic wand the "select same tile" tool.

There are two possible solutions:

  • Clear the "checked" flag in the terrain brush, before painting those cells.
  • Ignore the "checked" flag when comparing cells.

Given the purpose of this "checked" flag I think I'll go for the second option.
