Will probably work on other BSDs as well, not tested.

Based on gmake.linux with the following changes:

  • Remove -ldl (dl*() are included in libc)
  • Replace 'linux' with 'bsd' in two places.

The file was removed from the other gmake.*/genie.make files.
The build/gmake.* files do not exist upstream, so this
is a purely local problem.

I have however filed a PR to get bsd support added upstream:

I don't see changes to .lua files. Are you modifying these generated files manually?

I'm sorry, it seems I don't know enough about how these files are created.
I copied the linux files and modified them to work on BSD.
Is that not the right way? Please advise.
Btw, why was this closed before it was resolved?

Those are generated files, not something you manually modify. You need to change GENie script to generate proper makefiles.

Because this is not way to do it. And you'll need new PR anyway.
