Build Instructions
1. Download Pango source from http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/pango/.
These instructions were actually tested against 1.28.4.
2. The directory layout used for the project is somewhat different from
the layout in the archive. (FIXME for later!)
However, here's what you need to do.
   a. First, extract the pango-1.28.4 folder contents into this directory. You
should have a number of subdirectories (e.g. pango, modules).
   b. Copy the contents of the pango directory into the src directory. You can
move them into it if you prefer.
   c. Create a subdirectory in modules called src, and move all the files and
folders from the modules base folder into it, except for .project and
      .cproject.
   d. Make a copy of the public header files into a new directory called inc.

   e. Minor source changes to configure it on PlayBook are required. This is
rather a mess, I'm afraid, so a definite FIXME for later.

In the file src/pango-utils.c, edit the two functions
pango_get_sysconf_directory so it returns "./pango" for PlayBook (wrap
in #ifdef __PLAYBOOK__), and pango_get_lib_subdirectory so it returns
      "app/native/lib/pango".

In the file src/opentype/hb-private.h, make sure we include glib.h.
      I changed #if HAVE_GLIB to #if HAVE_GLIB || defined(__PLAYBOOK__) but
      perhaps defining HAVE_GLIB would do.

Some of the files end in *.i. Unfortunately, the NDK doesn't seem to
provide a way to avoid treating these as source files, and will attempt
to build them and fail. My current workaround is a) rename them as *.inc,
and b) change the places where they are included to pick up their new
names. This is *not* how I really want to do it, but I didn't find
      another way yet!
      The files are:
        In modules/src/basic:
        - tables-big.i: included in basic-x.c.
        - tables-small.i: not included at all.
        In src/mini-fribidi:
        - fribidi_tab_char_type_2.i: included in fribidi_char_type.c, twice.
        - fribidi_types.i: included in fribidi_types.c and fribidi_types.h

3. Import the NDK projects from this directory and from the modules directory
   into your workspace.
4. Build the two projects.
