Right now the only transition effect between screens is fade

This feature would be the addition of a slide transition effect that when a screen is opened via pushScreen() the new screen would slide in over top of the existing screen. (Slide in from right to left)

When popScreen() is called the existing screen would slide back to the right where it came from to expose the screen below it on the stack.

Any news on this issue? I've tried to implement it myself, but got only action bar sliding without content...

I believe Jerome has made some progress but he's still working on it.

TODO: Reverse the animation on popScreen()

Is anyone working on the reverse animations?
I was digging through the code now and was wondering how to approach this. When the screen is popped, the previous screen is pushed and its animation is also displayed.
To do a reverse slide on screen 'B' means screen 'A' should load before the animation of B starts, but the effect of 'A' (if any') should be skipped as it won't be seen by the user, correct?
Actually, I think that if a screen has a slide effect, when we pop it, we should always ignore the previous screen effect. 2 screens in a row with a slide transition should behave rather strangely when popping if this is not done.

Yup, I'm working on it..

When you pop a screen it will first load the previous screen underneath, and then reverse the animation of the current screen to reveal the old screen.

will it be in your branch first?

It will likely go into the "font" branch..

This has the most up to date changes that also include changing to Slate Pro as the font for the upcoming DevAlpha update.

However, using the "font" branch on an existing DevAlpha will look bad.. Well.. Because of the new font changes :o)

I believe this is now fixed in the "font" branch. Give it a try on PlayBook and see what you think. The "font" branch has changes for moving to Slate Pro on the Dev Alpha device for an upcoming release but the PlayBook fonts should be fine.
