I have the following code

<div id="guestsContainer" data-bb-type="scroll-panel" style="height:400px;background-color:#FFFFFF;color:#000000;">
<input type="text" value="test the edit" />
</div>

But when i run the app in ripple emulator it does not allow me to edit the value of textbox. It is in read only mode. Following is my configuration on ripple emulator
Platform: WebWorks - TabletOS
Version: 2.0.0
Device: Blackberry Playbook

I tested by changing device to Blackberry 10 and the textbox working fine without any problem.

For PlayBook are you using the BB10 styling in bbUI, or the regular PlayBook styling?

@rameezusmani

I am not setting any style property anywhere. I m calling bb.init like this
bb.init({onscreenready : function(element, id, params) {
//my code for screens
});

@rameezusmani

to clarify , textbox works fine when put outside "scroll-panel" or even in a div without data-bb-type="scroll-panel" attribute .....

ok, it is taking on the normal PlayBook styling. Scrolling panels in bbUI for PlayBook use iScroll to provide the smooth scrolling. However they do some funky things when it comes to input fields and touch events. I'll have to take a closer look

@rameezusmani

thanks friend.... do you think setting "bb10ForPlayBook" to true in bb.init can be a workaround ? I m not on dev machine else i could have tested it

I don't think it will make a difference. The styling will look different, but I suspect the issue with iScroll will remain the same
