As described in the BleachBit forum at https://www.bleachbit.org/forum/20-no-longer-overwriting-files-network-drives

BleachBit 2.0 seems to no longer overwrite data on network drives on a NAS as it did in previous versions. It just "deletes" the file but doesn't overwrite.

Thanks for the bug report. I just published a fix to the CI Build Site. It will be version 2.0.706, and it should show up in about twenty minutes. Would you please be able to test it?

You should notice the long delay while wiping. Also, you will notice the red warning about "advanced wiping," as you probably saw before.

Hi there. I installed 2.0.706 and yes, it now appears to work on the network files.

I didn't notice the red warning you mentioned though - in fact I've never seen that as far as I remember.

The fix was published in BleachBit 2.1 beta. Soon the fix will be published also in BleachBit 2.2 final.
