I thought a user description field is a default feature to show under all posts. Especially for multiuser blogs.
I was a bit surprised that bludit doesn't contain such field in user profile.

Shouldn't user profile be improved to offer such function?

How about an entire author info box, with avatar and short description

@abdulhalim check user profile page.
All needed options are there, despite a textarea for author description.

At the meantime I'm using firstName field as a user description.

@Joduai my blog is not multi-author, so I add author box in the page.php file but this way is not fancy, because it shows in all pages

@abdulhalim anyway you would need to show user field with conditional statements, so that they are shown on for example blog posts, not on static pages.
You can also prepare different template files and include them with conditionalss based on page type.
Plenty solutions, but none of them are out of box if you want a custom features.

Hmm, after you asked I started to wonder if having both fields wouldn't be a bad idea?
First one a raw textarea for a short description purpose - about author shown under every post.
Second for a longer text like résumé. This one could have a wysiwyg/markdown editor based on what type of editor plugin is enabled.

But what would be the advantages of having second field? As for now I would see this option usable only for websites/blogs containing multiple users. But who might predict whatfor somebody might use it?

I'm thinking a field for an small text, like an small description about the author.
I don't want to add two fields, just 1 is ok, but not sure about the name of the field.
