Hello Boone , whats the purpose of the first empty column in View Docs ? , I have added doc icon and it looks nice and also more descriptive , but I think that much more better it would look with possibility to add any predefined icon as : warning icon , document icon , info icon , help icon , sticky icon , possibilities are endless etc . View Docs should be more descriptive , I wouldn't add image upload to that column but I would add below images folder - icon folder, where plugin author or admins should insert set of icons and I would ask (with dropdown menu ?) to docs creators - members / admins which icon should represent their single document .

The first column is a placeholder, for if I ever decide to enter a bulk-actions checkbox.

Adding icons is a nice idea, though. Do you know of a library of GPL-compatible icons that you think would work well for this purpose?

http://www.mezzoblue.com/icons/chalkwork/information-management/ , very nice icons and according author you are free to use them for all NON commercial projects - Your project is NON commercial as far as I know.
On my opinion these icons would fit best because they are not too much colored , they are not too much bright , are simple and we should use most of them .

I don't think that those will work. The license needs to be GPL-compatible, which cannot forbid commercial use. (You can use them for your own site if you wish, of course, I just can't distribute them with the software.)
