It's handy to use full sqs url to specify a queue.

@babo babo sqs.connection get_queue returned a wrong queue.
If get_queue was called with an empty string it returned the first
queue. Also for queue names like 'bob' where get_queue was called with
'b' it returned 'bob'.

Does this supercede #456 or does it depend on it?

This supercedes #456. If using long queue names is not a goal than b4d23df is enough.

If you have the complete URL for a queue, you can just create the Queue object directly. You don't really need get_queue for that. I'm closing. Please re-open if you feel there is still a need for this.
