@sindresorhus @satazor @desandro I meant to send a PR, not commit it ;/

The purpose of this change is to encourage bower users to always use --save option or edit bower.json manually and issue "bower install". Does this look OK or I need to revert?

I'd also add --save flag to "bower uninstall" example.

I'd prefer to introduce bower install and bower install --save as two concepts. This way you explain and later emphasize the benefit of --save. There's also a complication when bower.json isn't created yet.
