Travis fails due to package.json? #1

Travis builds are failing.

this discussion was pointed out to me by @hecrj... but i really like having a package.json and having npm install set up your dev environment.

here's Elm support getting added to travis. maybe something can be improved on that end such that a package.json's existence doesn't take down your build. shouldn't it read version numbers from your package.json rather than exclusively relying on the .travis.yml?

if not, maybe i should run node on travis, since npm install && npm test already sets up an environment and runs the tests.
