omnibox context menu showing "search privately" options from other browsers #7368

Did you search for similar issues before submitting this one?

Yup, there's no other reports.

Description:

When you have multiple browsers installed, pressing the three dots on the context menu under the omnibox will show you "Search privately" options that are from other browsers.

Device Details:

  • Install Type(ARM, x86): ARM
  • Device(Phone, Tablet, Phablet): Google Pixel XL
  • Android Version: Android 9

Brave Version:

Using 1.0.70, CR: 70.0.3538.110

Steps to reproduce:
1. ensure that you have several browsers installed (FX, FX Focus, Opera)
2. launch 1.0.70, CR: 70.0.3538.110 and type something in the omnibox
3. select the text and click on the context menu that has the three dots
4. tap on one of "search privately" options and you'll notice it that another browser will be opened

Actual Behavior

Expected Behavior

We shouldn't be passing any searches into another browser within Brave

Yup

Is this an issue in the currently released version?

Reproduced using 1.0.70, CR: 70.0.3538.110 which is the latest released version.

Can this issue be consistently reproduced?

100% reproducible using the above STR.
