Feature Request: Sync passwords

Why passwords is missing from the sync list? Chrome does it. Is it impossible/insecure with a decentralized architecture?

pretty much the only reason I haven't fully transferred to brave yet, but I really want to. It shouldn't be impossible in a decentralized why though im sure they are working on it

That'd be just amazing ! I'm guessing sync is still new, and passwords being critical, they wanna wait till it's more tested ?

Syncing the bookmarks is not the only reason for use the sync feature among all of our devices. Password sync is one of the main reason of using sync in chrome like browsers. Without password sync, sync feature is incomplete. Missing password sync feature is stopping me from using Brave as a daily basis.

Who will move to brave if this feature is missing ? Atleast i can't

I'm wondering: is there anything wrong with the tons of chrome plugin password managers like Bitwarden or Lastpass? I agree this is a normally expected feature these days but there are lots of (convenient) workarounds.

But those two password managers also have native Android apps that work in Brave (or any other app). I use Bitwarden every day with Brave on my phone.
