On the Core Workloads page, it says that a typical way to test a database with YCSB is to follow this: Load A, Run A, Run B, Run C, Run F and Run D.
Now in these steps, after running A, do we have to load the other workloads (B,C,D,F) before running them? Or do we just load A and run the rest?
Any suggestions would be welcome..
No, you pretty much load the data once. The workloads a-f are running the operations where you want to gather your metrics.
You can load again if, say, you want more data to run against. In that case, I'd recommend dropping the table before you run another load with the new parameters for more data rows.
Awesome! Thanks for the help.
