In

  mx.2 <- matrix(1:100, ncol=2)
  mx.4 <- mx.3 <- mx .2
  mx.3[31, 2] <- 111L 
  mx.3a <- mx.3[-31, ]
diffPrint(mx.2, mx.3a, format="html")

The HTML output starts scaling while there is still plenty of unused space between tar and cur.
