D2Refine - stands for Data Dictionary (DD) Refine, is a platform on top of an open-source tool called OpenRefine. OpenRefine (formerly Google Refine) is designed to work with complex messy data and to transform it from one form to another. The most powerful feature of OpenRefine is its simple spreadsheet like interface and able to work bidirectionally with most common data storage format like Comma Separated Values (CSV), Microsoft Excel and XML.
D2Refine leverages OpenRefine's simple interface and hides complex transformations and reconciliation mechanisms from user and provides an easy way to view data dictionaries and to standardize them using standard controlled terminologies.

D2Refine can be configured to work with any standard [Common Terminology Services 2 (CTS2)] (http://informatics.mayo.edu/cts2/index.php/Main_Page) service. A CTS2 service can provide the terminologies to standardize the data dictionary elements. This process is called Terminology Binding.
D2Refine employs the functionality provided by following libraries and provides functionality that extends the OpenRefine's Export menu.
