Please refer to same issue I opened for Cacti v1.2.14 #3892

Just upgraded from Cacti v1.2.13 to v1.2.15.
After more testing, what I observed is it is:

  • At default tree - Works fine from what i can see.
  • At Time Graph View - When you click the real time graph icon. It will generate the graph_realtime.php POP UP. This I found it is intermittent. High chance the time counter will be stuck. Sometimes the counter will work and refresh as expected.

@TheWitness , I am not sure how to troubleshoot this. I can provide the credentials to my cacti. This is a standard Centos 7 servers with no plugins.

Interesting I was testing it today and did not see this behaviour in the new code base Do you mind if I take a look ? What version of ff are you using? Are you seeing this with ie or chrome ?

@bmfmancini

Sure how should I send you the credentials for my test account ?

Tested with the same issue.
FF 81.0.2 (64-bit)
MS Edge 86.0.622.51 (Official build) (64-bit)
Opera Version:72.0.3815.186

So, I've made a change to realtime.js from a JavaScript error I found while testing. You will have to clear your existing realtime.js from the browser cache after you update the file. Let me know if you can still reproduce the bug.

Hi @TheWitness,
I tried replacing realtime.js on my test cacti 1.2.15. Seems like the problem is still there.

Can you get real precise on the reproduce steps. You mentioned, you had to open a second table to another Cacti instance. I need some real clear and repeatable steps.

@TheWitness

Okay the bug is erratic sometimes it happens and sometimes it does not happen.
Currently it happens like 80%.
The second cacti window is not a requirement for it to happen.

Thought you we able to reproduce on my test cacti server.

Here is a video link of the problem happening.
Just me closing and click the real time graph icon.

I've updated layout.js in the 1.2.x branch. Please update, clear your cache and try gain.

@TheWitness

I am now using the developer branch on my test cacti.
It seems there is some improvement but the problem is still there up to 60% failure to load on click.

Okay, please test on the 1.2.x branch, and I'll reopen this then if you can confirm it there.
