When performing certain re-index operations, spine can unexpectedly crash #193

Describe the bug
Spine has been segfaulting during re-index operations periodically

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Reindex method is uptime goes backward.
  2. Restart the snmpagent on a remote host
  3. Quickly run spine on the specific host using the -H option at -V 5
  4. Not that the device is re-indexing, and then crashes attempting to insert the data.

Expected behavior
Spine should not segfault.

- Spine does not properly use the mysql reconnect option
- Spine segfaults when performing certain re-index operation
- This change also corrects some compiler warnings.
