We currently have no testing of what happens in the browser beyond some basic tests such as navigating the DOM during tests of largely server-side functionality.

We should have tests which carry out a few key tasks in Firefox and Chrome and verify that these have the expected result and no errors in the console.

These should be run either on Travis or another service.

+1 this sounds good to me! I'm assuming you're thinking something along the lines of a Selenium WebDriver-based test suite?
