Instead of using ruby to import textmate snippets, I propose using lisp.
Currently, this adds new functionality to yasnippet since it supports Texmate style replacements.
There are some current limitations:
This is in response to issue #232. Issues have also been created here https://github.com/mlf176f2/textmate-to-yas.el/issues
How robust is yas/define-menu? Can you call it twice and it will add the menus from each call? If so yas/define-menu is now supported by textmate-to-yas.el.
Also binary plists are partially supported through either perl or plutil.
This library now supports binary plists and yas/define-menu.
