It is possible to export run data from a test at the moment as JSON / HAR etc, but maybe a long term function could be the ability to pull this data back in?
What's the motivation or use case for the change/feature?
I have lots of tests that were run, and I've blogged about the waterfalls, but if I were to have to recreate them it would be almost impossible. I'd loved to have been able to download and store the run data in a file and given users the ability to "see this waterfall for yourself" e.g. a user clicks on a link, if the data is stored in the cloud, WPT would "pull in" the data and recreate the test run allowing a user to look over the real test the waterfall came from.
I realise it all sounds so easy when typed out, but I bet it isn't! More than happy to discuss further for clarification if required.

We're in the process of cleaning up issues on this project in order to ensure we're able to stay on top of high priority bugs and feature requests. As a part of this process, we're automatically closing any issues that have had no activity within the last two years, including this one, since the codebase has changed dramatically in that time. If you feel this is still relevant, please file a new issue using the relevant issue template so we can get it prioritized. Thanks!
