During resync operation the local image will get deleted and a new image is recreated by the rbd mirroring. The new image will have a new imageID. Once resync is completed update the imageID in the OMAP to get the image removed from the trash during DeleteVolume. During resync operation, the local image will get deleted and a new image is recreated by the rbd mirroring. The new image will have a new imageID. Once resync is completed update the imageID in the OMAP to get the image removed from the trash during DeleteVolume.
Before resyncing
After Resyncing
Note:- Current DeleteVolume will fail if we are not able to add a trash removal task with the existing image id (which is stored in omap and its old image id) and during the next request cephcsi will take care of removing the image from the trash and it takes 2 RPC calls to delete a single volume.
With this Fix with single RPC calls the image can be removed from the trash.
