Preferences : Annotations

An annotation is a piece of information attached to your CFML page which displays information such as errors, breakpoints, and bookmarks etc.

You can control how different annotation types are displayed in Preferences, under CFEclipse>Editor>Annotations.

For each annotation type, you can pick a colour to use, and decide whether it is shown in:

  • Overview ruler - the ruler to the right hand side of the scrollbar
  • Vertical ruler - the ruler to the left hand side of the edit area.
  • Text - inline in the text. You can further control how it is shown - as a box, squiggly line, highlighted, and more.

There is also an option for whether to "include in previous/next navigation" or not.
