Folders

  • data: stores various data files
  • data/raw_data: contains the .json files generated by the experimental software, one file per participant.
  • brm: precomputed Bayesian regression analyses
  • img: Task and model visualizations
  • modelResults: results of different computational models
  • plots: plots generated for article
  • levodopa: medication info

Datasets:

  • data/behavioralData.csv: behavioral data of all participants
  • data/modelFit.csv: parameter estimates of all computational models for all participants
  • data/roughKernel.json: all 40 environments, from which a new environment was chosen in each round without replacement. Also used for computational analyses.
  • gridsearch_parkinson.bib: BibTex bibliography, used by .qmd files

Scripts:

  • gridsearch_parkinsons.Rproj: R Studio project file
  • gridsearch_parkinsons.qmd: Quarto document with R code used for the statistical and computational analyses. Also generates article figures.
  • gridsearch_parkinsons.html: Rendered Quarto document with R code used for the statistical and computational analyses. Also includes article figures.
  • dataProcessing.R: import and pre-process behavioral data and parameter estimates (added for completeness; analysis scripts load the generated .csv files sitting in data).
  • statisticalTests.R various wrapper functions for statistical tests used for the analyses.
  • simulateModels.R: simulate the GP-UCB model with different parameter combinations and plot expected rewards.
  • simulate_consecutive_choices.R: simulate consecutive search distances for learner choosing randomly on each step.
