No description provided.

Checked on my linode system and this seems to do the trick! Thanks!

For people looking how to apply this patch the quick way is this:

  1. Add ohai cookbook to your chef repository
  2. Add the patched files to files/default/plugins inside of the ohai cookbook folder
  3. Upload the cookbook to chef server
  4. Add ohai::default to your run list.
  5. Run chef-client in each node.

Note: At least one run of chef-client must be run sucessfully for update the node config stored in chef server.
Note 2: Obviously you need to setup your private ips before run chef-client
Note 3: You must add your preferred private ip in eth0:1

@ranjib here are the latest comments from @btm:

The changes in 359c704 change linode[:public_ip] to linode[:public_ipv4]. We should probably leave that alone, otherwise it's a breaking change for anyone using the existing attribute.
The changes to the cloud attributes look right though.
Please make sure there are adequate unit tests covering this as well.

Let us know if any help is needed to move this forward.
