jQuery AJAX calls weren't setting the CSRF value in the header. Currently this shouldn't be a problem but when jQuery replaces Prototype it will need to be included.

Once we move to Rails 3.x, I'd like to use jquery-rails which already brings that functionality. In order to save ourselves from upgrade hassle, could you at least put a big honking TODO comment at the top of the function?

Originally I thought whether this could justify a new file that could then be removed altogether once we upgraded. But now I'm not sure anymore if that justifies the added request / latency...
